Jenna Marbles Creates ‘Ultimate 100 Coats of Things’ Makeup Tutorial Video

The video spoofs a beauty trend, in which vloggers apply 100 coats of nail polish, foundation or other products. Jenna Marbles‘ “100 coats” included 100 layers of spray tan, hair spray and fake lashes.

For the first time, more is more seems to resonate with beauty vloggers everywhere.

What started out as an experiment by Christine from Simply Nailogical, who painted her nails with 116 coats of nail polish, has become a full-blown phenomenon. Earlier in the week, we were given the gift of two new videos – 100 layers of foundation and 100 coats of liquid lipstick.

These videos are shocking, but purely entertaining for sure. We’re waiting to see which beauty influencer would follow suit next, but YouTuber Jenna Marbles, who’s known for making us laugh at unrealistic beauty ideals since she burst into the scene, decided to try applying 100 layers of many beauty products, all at once.

In a video titled 100 Coats of Things, she goes ham on her face with liquid lipstick and foundation, then sparkly nail polish, self tanner, hairspray and 100 false lashes. Yeap, the process took 7.5 hours, but it was hilarious!
