Hathras case: IPS Association in UP upset over inaction on DM's role, Mayawati too raises questions
The case reminded of the horrors of the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape and homicide, triggering nationwide outrage and anger towards the Uttar Pradesh Police. The woman, raped on September 14, died of her griveous accidents within the early hours of Tuesday at Delhi’s Safdarjung hospital. Things solely turned worse thereon. She was cremated at nighttime close to her dwelling on Wednesday. On Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath suspended Hathras SP Vikrant Vir and 4 different policemen. IPS Association upset
Sources have revealed that the IPS Association within the state is upset over the motion on police officers. Voicing their disappointment, the affiliation stated that selections on any matter will not be solely made by the police however the whole district administration. The affiliation has raised severe questions over inaction over DM’s position, sources informed India TV.
Mayawati backs IPS Association’s demand
In a tweet, BSP chief Mayawati stated the sufferer’s household has alleged allegations, together with that of threatening, towards district Justice of the Peace of the district. “Despite the allegations, UP government’s mysterious silence is sad and worrying both. Although govt wants CBI probe, but how will a fair probe be carried out till the DM remains. People are in doubt.”
